No quick opening of Vatican archives from pontificate of Pius XII

Responding to persistent public requests from Jewish groups for the opening of the secret archives covering the reign of Pope Pius XII, the director of the Vatican press office, Father Federico Lombardi, said that it would take several more years to complete classification of all the documents involved. While the requests for quick action are "understandable," he said, the process will take longer.
