New leadership at Ave Maria University

Jim Towey, who served as director of faith-based and community initiatives under President George W. Bush before becoming president of St. Vincent College in Pennsylvania, has been named president and CEO of Ave Maria University in Florida.

On July 1, Tom Monaghan, the founder of Domino’s Pizza, will retire from the position of CEO but remain the university’s chancellor. Nick Healy, the university’s president, will also retire and become president emeritus. Both are 73.
