No Catholic burial for woman ‘ordained’ as priest

May 20, 2010

A Chicago lesbian who was automatically excommunicated last month following her “ordination” will not be permitted to have a Catholic burial, according to a Chicago archdiocesan official. The funeral of Janine Denomme, 45, will take place at a Methodist church.

The bias in WBBM-TV’s reporting on the story is evident. “The priesthood of the Roman Catholic Church is the world's oldest all-boys club. Women need not apply. No debate. No appeal. Protest at your own risk. Which is exactly what Janine Denomme did…”

Now if only the Archdiocese of Chicago (and mine in Boston as well) would refuse Catholic funerals for known public supporters of abortion -- ie, Ted Kennedy, etc.

This would be a wonderful 'teaching opportunity' for the Archdiocese of Chicago, if they'd take advantage of it to educate the TV station and their viewers about the true nature of the priesthood, and Who instituted it. And, how lovely of the Methodists to act as enablers for this woman's scandalous behavior. Once again, they claim the moral high ground while enabling immoral behavior--I refer to their welcome of active homosexuals.
