Jerusalem: quiet but tense as Israeli-Palestinian tempers flare

Jerusalem was quiet on March 1, after ugly clashes between stone-throwing Palestinian youths and Israeli police the previous day. But tensions remained high, with Palestinians angrily denouncing Israel's decisions to build 600 new homes in the disputed section of East Jerusalem, and to claim authority over two shrines-- the Tomb of the Patriarchs and Rachel's Tomb-- which are located in the West Bank.
