German Jesuits apologize for school abuse

A German Jesuit provincial has admitted that the order received complaints of sexual abuse by priests in Jesuit schools as early as 1981, but failed to respond. The apology by Father Stefan Dartmann acknowledged 25 cases of abuse in Jesuit schools in Berlin, Hamberg, and the Black Forest.
