Costa Rica: priest suspended for celebrating Mass in Latin?

CWN Editor's Note: The former chancellor of the Alajuela diocese in Costa Rica says that he has been suspended from public ministry and ordered to seek psychological counseling because he celebrated Mass in Latin. Father Sixto Eduardo Varela Santamaria said that he had obeyed the order of Bishop Bartolome Buigues to cease celebrating the Tridentine liturgy, but he continued to celebrate the Novus Ordo in Latin, using the ad orientem posture.
