Gomez , the US Conference of Catholic Bishops’ president, said that the working group recommended that the bishops’ Committee on Doctrine draft a document on “Eucharistic coherence,” “in the hope that it will strengthen an understanding and deepen a common faith in the gift that has been given to us in the Sacrament of the Altar.”The above note supplements, highlights, or corrects details in the original source (link above). Well, that's going to be an exercise in herding cats. . . . coherence between those like Chaput and Strickland who would deny Holy Communion to Catholic politicians causing public scandal by their pro-abortion speeches & voting record; and spineless bishops who would benightedly allow such sacrilegious communions, because "the Eucharist should not be politicised."
