Think of children in annulment cases, Pope urges Roman Rota

He asked how children would understand if their mother, who was abandoned by the father, could receive Communion, but the father, who had remarried, could not.

    How is the Rota supposed to get itself involved in affairs regarding the children? Despite the pain they may experience, it has no legal bearing on whether the marriage is valid.
