Vietnamese dissident priest suffers stroke in prison

Father Nguyen Van Ly, the prominent Vietnamese human-rights activist, has suffered a stroke while serving an 8-year prison sentence for his efforts to institute democratic reforms. Father Van Ly was partially paralyzed in the aftermath of the stroke, but he is conscious and family members say he received prompt medical attention.
