    It might be useful to note that religion is no longer under siege in the U.S. by the Administration. If Catholic hospitals, crisis pregnancy centers, and adoption agencies are still being closed, it is due to local governments, no longer by federal mandate. The current occupant is the most prolife president in 10 years. Even yesterday he encouraged government schools to offer "Bible literacy classes." For two years he has been reversing the "Arab spring." Created office of religious grievance.

    How tragic that we Catholics are being manipulated into single-issue voters by our ant-Christian president. Recall that the Catholic Center Party in Germany produced the votes in Parliament necessary to allow Hitler to rule by decree, an excuse being that the Weimar Republic's constitution did not mention God. Similar for Petain regime in France, Franco dictatorship in Spain; Old regime in Ireland and Quebec. The amoral Trump is laughing at us. We are not a church of the simple solution.
