Papal greeting to Orthodox Patriarch on feast of St. Andrew

CWN Editor's Note: Cardinal Kurt Koch, the president of the Pontifical Council for Christian Unity, led a Vatican delegation to Constantinople to join Orthodox Patriarch Bartholomew in celebrating the feast of St. Andrew on November 30. Cardinal Koch delivered a personal message from Pope Francis, who expressed his appreciation for the Orthodox prelate’s work to promote “the care of creation, peaceful coexistence among peoples of different cultures and religious traditions, and the presence of Christians in the Middle East.”
