CWN Editor's Note: The Christmas tree that will be placed in St. Peter’s Square this year will be a 90-foot spruce from northeastern Poland.
Each year the Vatican’s Christmas tree is donated by a different region in Europe. This year, in addition to supplying the tree for St. Peter’s Square, the Polish region will also provide a number of smaller trees for display in Vatican offices.
