Orissa: Christian witnesses suffer intimidation in Hindu zealot's trial

In India's Orissa state, where the Christian minority was the target of an orgy of violence organized by Hindu militants last year, key witnesses are being warned that they should not testify in the murder trial of a Hindu leader accused of involvement in several murders. Christians who fled their homes to escape the violence are facing demands that they pay a special "tax" to return, and promise not to bring legal charges against those responsible for the violence.
