CWN Editor's Note: The Orthodox Patriarchate of Moscow was established, ironically, in 1917-- the year of the Russian Revolution-- after having been abolished by Tsar Peter the Great. Patriarch Kirill writes that issues that were not addressed during the Soviet era should now be confronted.
