Another Mexican priest kidnapped

September 22, 2016

Another Mexican Catholic priest has been kidnapped, and his fate remains unknown, just a few days after two priests were murdered in the state of Veracruz.

Cardinal Alberto Suarez Inda of Morelia has revealed that Father José Alfredo Lopez Guillen was abducted from his parish in the state of Michoacan. The priest's car is also missing, as are some items taken from his parish church.

Michoacan has been plagued by drug-related violence.
