Pope meets with parents of murdered American student

Pope Francis met on July 6 with the parents of Beau Solomon, an American college student murdered in Rome.

The Pope “manifested his sentiments of deep sympathy and compassion and his closeness in prayer to the Lord for the young man who died so tragically,” said Father Federico Lombardi, director of the Holy See Press Office.
