June 15, 2016

Members of the Philippine Islamist militant group Abu Sayyaf have beheaded a Canadian hostage and reportedly left his severed head in front of the cathedral in Jolo.

Robert Hall was kidnapped in September and was killed after the Canadian government refused to pay ransom. The head found outside the cathedral has not yet been positively identified as Hall’s, according to media reports.
