Spanish Cardinal Canizares says gender theory is 'most destructive ideology'

June 01, 2016

Cardinal Antonio Cañizares Llovera of Valencia, Spain, is under fire for his criticism of gender ideology.

Cardinal Cañizares, the former prefect of the Congregation for Divine Worship, faces angry charges of "homophobia" after an address to graduates of the John Paul II Institute, in which he lamented the rise to political power of "the gay empire, of ideas such as radical feminism, or the most insidious of all, gender theory."

Refusing to back down in the face of criticism, the cardinal asked rhetorically: "Is it homophobic to defend the family?" He went on to say that gender theory is "the most insidious and destructive ideology of humanity in all its history."

The Cardinal states the truth of the matter. The family is the very foundation of society. Destroy it, and everything good and decent collapses. Gender theory is a lie, the product of convoluted thinking, inspired by the master of lies--Satan himself.

Thank you Cardinal Canizares for upholding the truth. "Have you not read that the one who made them at the beginning 'made them male and female'" (Jesus, Matthew 19:4)
