Bolivian bishops decry use of tear gas against disabled protestors
May 05, 2016
The Bolivian Episcopal Conference has rebuked police in the nation’s capital for using tear gas against disabled protestors who were seeking an increase in government benefits.
The bishops denounced the “unnecessary use of force against these brothers who are only demanding to be heard,” the episcopal conference said in a statement. “All Bolivian citizens, and society as a whole, feel indignation and shame.”
