Animal-rights activists disrupt Easter Mass at New York cathedral

March 28, 2016

New York police arrested one man, and several others were escorted out of St. Patrick's cathedral in New York, after a demonstration that disrupted the noon Mass on Easter Sunday.

Security guards quickly surrounded a North Carolina man who began speaking through a bullhorn during the service, saying: "No more shedding of animal blood." As he was removed from the building, three others joined him.
