Belgian bishops report $4.4 million paid to abuse victims

The Catholic bishops of Belgium have paid almost €4 million ($4.4 million) to abuse victims, a new report has shown.

The report from the Belgian bishops' Commission for the Protection of Children and Youth indicated that €4 million has been paid to victims since 2012. The commission reported that 95 new cases of suspected abuse have been reported in the past two years.
