Former Vatican prosecutor: every bishop should see 'Spotlight'

Every member of the Catholic hierarchy should watch the film Spotlight, in the opinion of the prelate who once served as the Vatican's top prosecutor in abuse cases.
"All bishops and cardinals must see this film," Archbishop Charles Scicluna of Malta told the Italian daily La Repubblica. He explained that the movie "shows how the instinct...to protect a reputation was completely wrong."

Homosexual men in the priesthood is the problem and the origin of the huge scandals and of the devastating lawsuits. Dioceses declare bankruptcies but still avoid dealing with the actual problem head on.

Archbishop Scicluna - a man of integrity and grit. I think he is one of the heroes of the Catholic Church.
