Amid protests, Bosnia’s judiciary upholds hijab ban

Amid protests across Bosnia and Herzegovina, the nation’s high court has upheld a ban on the wearing of the hijab in the nation’s legal institutions.

The ban, announced in October, applies to all religious symbols.

The nation of 3.9 million is 40% Muslim, 31% Eastern Orthodox, and 12% Catholic.
