Muslims protect Christians on Kenyan bus during Islamist militia attack

December 23, 2015

Members of the Somali Islamist militant group Al-Shabaab attacked a bus in northeastern Kenya on December 21 and ordered the Muslim passengers to leave so that they could kill the Christians on board.

According to multiple media reports, the Muslim passengers, most of them women, refused to do so, with some handing the Christian women their hijabs and others attempting to hide Christians behind their luggage.

"They told them, ‘If you want to kill us, then kill us. There are no Christians here,’” one passenger recounted.

A Christian passenger who ran from the bus was shot. Believing that police were approaching, the Al-Shabaab militants left.

Kenya, a nation of 45 million, is 54% Protestant, 29% Catholic, and 11% Muslim.

I'm glad CWN reported on this. It is good to hear. I wonder what all the folks who leave agitated feedback about Islamic issues think about this. Seriously, I do. Please leave feedback.
