Report: Church sues Georgian government over tax treatment

The Catholic Church in the Caucasus nation of Georgia has joined seven Protestant communities in filing suit against the government over its favorable tax treatment of the Georgian Orthodox Church, according to an independent news agency based in the nation’s capital.
The nation of 4.5 million is 84% Orthodox, 10% Muslim, and 2% Catholic.
