Exhibition of Shroud concludes in Turin; 1.5 million pilgrims attended

About 1.5 million people attended the public exhibition of the Shroud of Turin, which concluded today.
Archbishop Cesare Nosiglia said that this year’s exhibition, which began on April 19 and ended on June 24, had been an “overwhelming experience” for hundreds of thousands of pilgrims. The highlight, he said, was the visit of Pope Francis, who prayed before the Shroud during his visit to Turin this past weekend.
