Houston subpoenas pastors, demands sermons on homosexuality, gender identity

October 16, 2014

City officials in Houston have issued subpoenas demanding that five pastors turn over “all speeches, presentations, or sermons related to ... homosexuality or gender identity prepared by, delivered by, revised by, or approved by you or in your possession.”

The five pastors were opponents of the Houston Equal Rights Ordinance, which was supported by homosexual and transgendered activists.

Opponents of the ordinance had sued the city, claiming that city officials improperly disallowed a ballot initiative that would have given citizens the opportunity to vote to overturn the ordinance.

Our Constitution is being shredded by the LGBT movement with the assistance of the leftist Obama administration. Freedom of religion has already been lost. Only a Constitutional Convention called by the states can save our country at this point.

Defender asked the question: "In Houston, 50,000 signatures were collected and only 15,000 were needed to stop this initiative - what are the odds that so many were somehow disallowed?" My answer is that we need to start looking in car trunks for the missing 35,001. Oops.

Understand that the ultimate aim of these people, as it has been at least since Voltaire, is the destruction of the Catholic Church.

I recently told a lefty, former-Catholic family member that I expect eventual incarceration for practicing my Faith, and he scoffed. Less than a week later, the Mayor of Houston pulls this stunt. It won't take long before non-compliant priests and nuns go to jail re: Obamacare. This is just the beginning. The Universal Church of Tolerance confesses but one immutable doctrine: intolerance of dissent.

This episode is frightening. This should be a story in the Catholic media as big as the Synod going on, if not bigger.

Dear Brethren in the Lord, let us contemplate Psalm 2: "Why do the gentiles rage…The kings of the earth rise up against the Lord and against his anointed one." The evangelical pastors raised a ruckus in Texas, and the sex-bullies in their rage went after them, and overplayed their hand. Now the sex-bullies are in a retreat (for a time at least). We are in a war, the sex-bullies know it, but our Dolan's, Wuerl's, and O'Malley's do not. This is why Catholics are getting rolled.

We are now in an Orwellian era of big brother civic society policing citizens for any breach of orthodoxy regarding views on modern sexual ethics. Christians and other people of Faith who dissent from these poisonous ideologies are now subject to censure, fines and even imprisonment. Clearly justice has been displaced by a debilitating intolerance which threatens to destroy some of the most valued civil rights in our western democracies i.e the right to free speech and religious belief.

Perhaps we should do what Germany did in 1936 and create a Reich Church, where "Mein Kampf" (instead of a Bible) was placed on the altar and Nazis were the only ones who gave sermons. Or should we have a Patriotic Church, like they have in China, where the clergy are state trained and paid? In Houston, 50,000 signatures were collected and only 15,000 were needed to stop this initiative - what are the odds that so many were somehow disallowed?

Houston, we have a problem. And you are it.

Blessed Father Jerzy Popieluszko pray for us! Fr. Jerzy was killed on Oct. 19, 1984 by government goons for his sermons against the sins of the communist regime.

As someone once said, scratch a liberal just a bit and you will find a true fascist just below the surface.
