NY mayor, Brooklyn bishop: Convert closed Catholic schools to charter schools

New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Brooklyn Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio have jointly proposed the conversion of four Catholic schools slated for closure to charter schools. The proposal requires state legislative approval.
