Rabbis praise Popes John XXIII, John Paul II for fighting anti-Semitism

Two rabbis affiliated with the Simon Wiesenthal Center saluted Popes John XXIII and John Paul II for their work to overcome anti-Semitism, in an essay for the Los Angeles Times.
Rabbis Abraham Cooper and Yitzchok Adlerstein blame the Church for nourishing anti-Semitism in the past, but praise the two Popes scheduled for canonization for reversing that trend.
