North Sinai: Coptic Christian kidnapped, murdered
July 12, 2013
For the second time since the overthrow of Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi, a Coptic Christian has been murdered in North Sinai. Magdy Habashi, a 60-year-old shop owner, was kidnapped in Sheikh Zuweid on July 6, the same day that a Coptic Orthodox priest was murdered. Habashi’s body was found on July 11. Islamist militants are suspected of committing both murders.
