Hawaii Planned Parenthood clinics help women arrange tax-funded sex-selection abortions

June 13, 2012

Planned Parenthood counselors in Hawaii have been captured on videotape instructing a woman on how to obtain a free sex-selection abortion, at taxpayers’ expense, in the latest “sting” by the pro-life group Live Action.

Undercover videos obtained by Live Action activists show the Planned Parenthood counselors advising a woman who says that she plans to abort if she learns that her unborn child is female. The counselors suggest a late-term abortion, to allow time to determine the baby’s sex, and explains how the woman can obtain state funding for the procedure.

The videos, released June 13, are the latest in a series of exposés by Live Action, showing how workers and Planned Parenthood and other abortion clinics help to make sex-selection abortions available. The previous videotapes showed similar episodes at clinics in Texas, New York, and Arizona. In each case, actors working for Live Action claimed to be planning to abort if their unborn children were female, and clinic counselors agreed to help with the process.
