Aid to the Church in Need and Vatican Radio are drawing greater attention to an incident that Catholic World News reported on in August: the desecration of a Syro-Malankara Catholic church in the southeastern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.
Father John Felix, the parish priest, attributes the attack to “the inactivity and neglect of the police and other authorities.” Stating that the church is under “constant threat,” Father Felix called upon police to investigate earlier attacks on the parish.
