Congo bishops warn of genocide

Warning of a ‘silent genocide’ that is taking place in the eastern and northeastern parts of their nation, the bishops of the Democratic Republic of the Congo on Thursday lamented the ‘laxness’ of the international community in addressing the situation and called for a peace force that could ensure the region’s security.
