Catholic Recipe: Cheese Noodle Ring
This is a simple cheese noodle casserole, baked in a ring.
DIRECTIONS
Break noodles into 1-inch pieces; cook in boiling salted water until tender; drain. Rinse with cold water. Beat eggs. Scald milk; pour into beaten eggs; add to noodles with 1-1/2 cups grated cheese, salt, and pepper. Spoon into well-greased ring mold; set in pan of hot water. Bake at 325° for 45 minutes. Loosen with spatula. Unmold on baking sheet. Sprinkle with remaining cheese; run under broiler until cheese browns. Slide ring onto serving plate; fill center with creamed fish or vegetables. Makes 6 servings.
