O Lord, we beseech thee favorably to hear the prayers of thy people: that, as we do rejoice in the passion of thy blessed Pontiff and Martyr Marcellus, so his merits may be our succor and defense. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
