CHARISM FOR MIRACLES

One of several supernatural gifts enjoyed in the early Church for working miraculous phenomena: 1. faith (I Corinthians 12:9, 13:2), a special form of the infused gift of faith that leads a person to trust implicitly that, in a given situation, God will indeed manifest his miraculous power in response to prayer; 2. performing miracles (I Corinthians 12:10, 28), an extraordinary charism by which an individual can call upon divine power to work miraculous phenomena; 3. miraculous healing (I Corinthians 12:9, 30), the specialized gift of suddenly restoring the gravely sick to full bodily health.
