Reversed causality

Archbishop Tauran (see today's headline story) worries that the war in Iraq will lead to terrorism.

And maybe in the spring, when the snow melts, that causes temperatures to rise?

There was terrorism long before this war began. And (was anybody in Rome listening?) it was the threat of greater terrorism that led to US action. The causal train is moving in the opposite direction.
