Nothing that a smile can't cure...

By Diogenes ( articles ) | Dec 17, 2003

Let's see, the bishops can't excommunicate pro-gay and pro-abortion Catholics -- that would cause our pluralist democratic society to grind to a halt overnight -- so let's take the positive approach and have the religious orders honor pro-gay and pro-abortion anti-Catholics. This from Sen. Schumer's website:

US Senator Charles E. Schumer today was awarded the Matthew 25:35 award from the Capuchin Franciscans of the Province of St. Mary in honor of his support of anti-poverty initiatives. ...

The Matthew 25:35 Award is named after the verse in the New Testament that says, "I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in."
