A few days ago, Pope Benedict addressed a conference on "Adult Stem Cells: Science and the Future of Man and Culture". His message is summed up in the title: Saving One Life Cannot Justify Destroying Another.

The Pope also emphasized the importance of linking science with ethics. Apparently the U. S. Bishops agree, expecially since they've been denied Federal funds for assistance to those who suffer from human trafficking because they will not provide the “full range” of “reproductive services”. Phil Lawler analyzes the resulting question: Are the US bishops gearing up for a lawsuit against HHS?

Meanwhile, Archbishop Timothy Dolan, in his first presidential address to the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, stressed to the bishops that Love for Jesus and His Church Must Be the Passion of Our Lives!
