a complex issue

From today's Wichita Eagle:

Bishop George Fitzsimons of the Diocese of Salina said he thinks Catholic politicians in his diocese are following church teachings for the most part.

"It does become a complex issue," he said. "On one hand, someone may be against abortion, the killing of an unborn human being, and then in favor of the death penalty, the killing of a grown person."
