Rev. Barry Beisner was installed on September 30 as coadjutor bishop for the Episcopalian Diocese of Northern California.
There were protests, but it's not what you're thinking.
Questions arose after Beisner's election and during the General Convention consent process because he has been divorced twice and is married for a third time. Some members of convention opposed his election, saying his marital history disqualified him from the office of bishop.
Hey, look: Bishop Beisner hasn't had any of his ex-wives beheaded. Anglicans looking for a leader could do-- have done-- worse.
