META-OUSIOSIS
Transubstantiation of the bread and wine at Mass into the body and blood of Christ. The Greek Fathers used this expression to identify what takes place at the Eucharistic Consecration. It is a meta or change of one ousia or being, that of bread and wine, into another ousia or being, that of Christ's body and blood.
