INDETERMINISM

The principle of philosophy which holds that the human will, in some of its acts, is free; that it is not determined absolutely by heredity, education, or environment from outside of a person, nor by ideas, feelings and desires inside of a person. Human beings can, at times, act just as they please irrespective of all other factors except the one factor of their own free will.
