HEALING, SACRAMENT OF
The sacrament of anointing, one of whose graces is to heal the sick, if this would be for the person's spiritual welfare. The healing may be one of several kinds: a complete recovery, partial recovery with at least an alleviation of the symptoms or pain, strength of mind and body to bear the suffering or disability with peace and resignation to God's will.
