GOLDEN ROSE

A spray of flowers made of gold, blessed by the Pope on the fourth Sunday of Lent and sent as a token of special honor to some notable person or institution. It is given in token of special honor to some notable person or institution. It is given in token of special services or loyalty to the Holy See. In the heart of the principal rose is a small covered cup on which musk and balsam have been placed. The Golden Rose is a symbol of spiritual joy.
