CODEX VATICANUS

A fourth-century manuscript of the Greek Bible, now in the Vatican Library, and, together with the Codex Sinaiticus, the principal source of the text of the Old and New Testaments. In the New Testament everything after Hebrews 9:14 had been lost. The sheets are of fine vellum, most probably antelope skin, with each page divided into three columns of forty lines.
