up in smoke

Frances Kissling's Catholics for Free Choice post and endorse a statement protesting the comparison between the millions who died in the Holocaust and the millions slain by abortion:
As religious, women's rights and human rights leaders, we are outraged that an exhibition in the European Parliament included posters comparing abortion with the Shoah and request that the Parliament publicly dissociates itself from the exhibition.
We deplore the fact that while Europe is celebrating the 60th anniversary of the liberation from Nazi totalitarianism, the European Parliament, founded with the aim of preventing the horrors of the 20th century from ever happening again, should become the space for abusing the memory of Shoah victims.
We are saddened that MEPs representing European citizens from Poland would seek to condemn women who make the complex moral decision to terminate an unwanted pregnancy by suggesting they are mass murderers. We are dismayed that European legislators have accused the EU of promoting violence and death. In reality, the EU has been instrumental in advancing an international consensus on women's human rights and in particular women's reproductive rights creating the legal and cultural foundations for the highest standard of health and well-being for women around the world.
Well, what did the evil of the Final Solution consist in? Most of us would say: in the intentional taking of innocent and defenseless human lives. So how do the victims of abortion fall short in this accounting? Are they less innocent? Less defenseless? Less human? Less dead?

Catholics for a Free Choice (sic) does not consider an unborn child a human being, but insists that the killing of these innocent children is no more the "terminat(ion)" of "an unwanted pregnancy," however "complex" that "moral decision" might be. No need for Rachel to mourn her lost children when Kissling's easy death machine is out there keeping their utter humanity from the public view. Rather like the Nazis with Auswitz and Dachau, ya, Frau Kissling?.

there are other comparisons, such as: Hitler, and his minions, like Kissling and her associates, promoted their deadly scheme or "solution" as being morally justified. There are other comparisons such as the eugenics movement (incl. Margaret Sanger & Planned Parenthood) which sought a racially pure society and a genetically superior race. hmmm.
