Ukraine: Orthodox priest, nun are murder victims

A Ukrainian Orthodox nun was murdered on July 29, and a priest who had been shot earlier in the week succumbed to his wounds.

Sister Alevtina was found dead in her room at a convent in Kiev on Wednesday morning; her hands were tied and her body showed signs of torture, the Interfax news service reports. No further information about the crime was immediately available.

On the same morning, Father Roman Nikolayev died of gunshot wounds to the head that he had sustained earlier.
