Former corporate donors distancing themselves from Planned Parenthood

July 24, 2015

Several major American corporations have asked Planned Parenthood to remove their names from the list of the group’s donors, in a clear indication that the public standing of Planned Parenthood has been badly damaged by the release of undercover videos documenting the sale of fetal tissue.

When questioned about their corporate donations to Planned Parenthood, representatives of Coca-Cola, Ford Motor Company, and Xerox told the Daily Signal that they were wrongly listed as supporters, did not provide funding for the group, and had asked to be removed from the Planned Parenthood web site.

In a related story the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) rejected a journalist's request for expedited release of documents related to HHS consulting ties with Deborah Nucatola, the Planned Parenthood official who was featured in one undercover video. A HHS spokesman said that expedited release is available only for "a breaking news story of general public interest"-- thus implying that the Planned Parenthood scandal is not a significant news story.

"implying that the Planned Parenthood scandal is not a significant news story"?? More like declaring it.
