Obamacare funds subsidizing abortions, despite legislative guarantees

American taxpayers are subsidizing abortions through the new federal health policy, despite federal law that prohibits federal funding for abortion, a new study has found.
The Government Accountability Office (GAO), in a survey of insurance programs, found that only 1 out of 18 insurers was segregating funds for abortions, as required by the health-care reform legislation. During the Congressional debate on the legislation, the Obama administration made a bid for the support of pro-life lawmakers by promising that federal funds would not be used to cover abortion payments. The GAO survey shows that promise has been broken. The GAO report shows “how completely the alleged safeguards have been ignored,” observed Richard Doerflinger, the associate director of the pro-life office at the US bishops’ conference. Cardinal Sean O’Malley, the chairman of the bishops’ pro-life committee, said that the “only adequate solution to this problem” would be the complete removal of all abortion coverage from federally subsidized health plans.

Yep - that would be the same CCB that supported passage of Obamacare right up until the very end when (GASP) the president didn't insure provisions preventing funding abortions were included in the legislation! "But he promised he would! He told us so!"

The bishops were so fired up supporting alleged "health care for all" they didn't oppose the unAffordable Care Act as loudly as needed.Simply oppose it in principle, because it gave government total control over every American's health care,even without abortion,gross encroachment by government in areas it has no business, especially by subsidiarity! They figured that they could get exclusions, especially after super-Catholic,Stupak,waved that signed paper. But Obama sure showed them, didn't he?

So what about Notre Dame??!! What about 3 score other CATHOLIC institutions that have already betrayed us from within!? What about the Cardinals and the Bishops in America that wantonly REFUSE to exercise disciplinary authority! I am TIRED of this continuous shrill complaining about THE GOVERNMENT when it is perfectly apparent that Church authority is deeply complicit in this rebellion & could even be considered to be leading the way! O.., & PS, there is "no laughter" in Hell... Ave..
